Up to ONE MILLION EU MIGRANTS could get permanent UK residency after Brexit

0

New information that has emerged about a possible Brexit transition deal indicates that up to one million new EU migrants could obtain permanent residency in the United Kingdom after Brexit in March 2019.

It is widely thought that EU negotiators are going to push for a transition period arrangement where the deadline to apply for permanent residency in the UK will be extended until 2021 – two years after the country has officially left the European Union.

According to a report in The Sun:

UP to a million new EU migrants could still get permanent residency rights here after Brexit.

They would qualify if Theresa May accepts the EU’s fresh conditions for a transition period deal, a report warns.

New Brussels demands call for post—Brexit arrivals up to 2021 to be given the option.

Leaving our borders open an extra two years could trigger a rush of half a million EU nationals a year, Migration Watch UK claims.

Its forecast is based on the amount who have applied for National Insurance numbers.

Not all of them try for permanent residency as EU rules allow them to come and go.

However, the think tank says: “A larger proportion of them might well stay on if the prize was a right to permanent settlement in the UK.”

The plans contradict No 10’s aim to end the rights on Brexit Day, March 29 next year. Migration Watch UK head Lord Green said: “This EU demand is absolutely absurd. We will have left the EU.”

Surely if this happens it will be yet another indication that our Prime Minister Theresa May has become more like the ‘Theresa The Appeaser’ character that is being portrayed in the media.

Nigel Farage SLAMS disastrous migrant deal with just one tweet

Nigel Farage has vented his anger at the government’s latest deal with France.

The UK government is set to pay a further £45 million to France in order to stop illegal migrants making their way to the UK, while at the same time, accepting more migrants.

It seems that France is not deporting these people on purpose, for them, it’s a money-making scheme.

Mr Farage tweeted: “Why are we paying @EmmanuelMacron £45m and taking more migrants at the same time? That’s not a deal – it’s a humiliating capitulation by @theresa_may. #FarageOnLBC”

Talking on his LBC show he said: “We’re going to pay £45 million to stop migrants coming in, but we’re also going to take migrants, in particular, child migrants or families that have children or pretty much anyone who can prove that they have a family connection in the United Kingdom.”

“I do wonder, why on earth would we pay all this money if we were to allow more people to come in, doesn’t that just encourage more people to come to Calais?”

Well said!

This is how many attempts Calais migrants made to reach the UK in ONE YEAR

The number of attempt Calais migrants made to get into the UK has been revealed

The migrant Jungle has recently been dismantled, however, around 1,000 migrants still live there.

Migrant attempted to enter the UK over 18,000 times in a single year.

The Express reported:

“An estimated 600 people, mainly from sub-Saharan Africa and Afghanistan, have returned to Calais but a further 400, mostly from Iraqi Kurdistan, are sleeping in woods in Grande-Synthe – 25 miles to the east.

So far this year, the groups have made 17,867 attempts to get into the ferry port at Calais or into Eurotunnel’s site, according to French police.

But officials are unsure how many may have made it across the Channel to England – although migrants say the success rate is low.

Their new found presence in Calais has revived a crisis that many both in France and the UK thought had been solved.”

I am sure you will all agree with me that Europe NEEDS to take a stronger stand against the thousands of migrants invading the continent.

If they are asylum seekers they must seek refuge in the first safe country they enter. Not pick and choose.

The people in the Calais Jungle should not even be in France, I cannot understand why the French government will not deport them.

Trump recently revealed the USA’s new ‘merit based’ immigration system which will favour skilled workers who are financially stable.

Surely we should have something similar?

I think most of Europe should have something similar.

Angela Merkle destroyed Europe when she invited millions of migrant to come to Europe with open arms.

What a brilliant idea (Do you sense the sarcasm?)

EU bigwig Guy Verhofstadt ATTACKS NIGEL FARAGE in video about second EU referendum

0

We already know that the EU’s Brexit negotiator Guy Verhofstadt likes to ‘mouth off’ on his own Facebook page, and now he has used Nigel Farage’s comments about the possibility of another EU referendum to launch a personal attacks against the ex-UKIP leader.

Although you may not agree with Farage’s comments about a second vote to try and ‘kill off the issue for good,’ it has to be said that he had his own reasons for making the suggestion – however Mr Verhofstadt has decided to adopt a slightly more aggressive stance.

]

He accompanied this video with the caption:

Since meeting Barnier, Farage has backed another EU referendum and seems hugely disoriented.

His confusion is contagious: Gove doesn’t seem to remember that action on plastic bags stems from EU regulation and Prime Minister May doesn’t seem to know that the ban on credit card surcharges is based on an EU directive.

On top of it, the recently announced change to British passports was perfectly possible inside the EU!

This is where the EU starts to appear two-faced about the whole Brexit process. It’s all well and good for their top brass to make noises about Britain acting in a manner that is ‘unproductive’ when it comes to creating a positive atmosphere in the negotiations.

However, Mr Verhofstadt has become someone who has a reputation for ‘going rogue’ – who can honestly say that this latest outburst is actually going to do any good?

Fortunately, people have taken advantage of the public nature of his Facebook account to tell him exactly what they think about him.

Here’s the full comment just in case you are unable to expand the post:

Really, it was possible to have non EU passports and non EU citizenship? It was possible to not comply with EU Directives and regulations?

Please stop insulting us. When you make comments like this you insult the majority of the British electorate, more of whom voted for Brexit than for anything else.

For the record:

a) Farage did not call for a second referendum.

b) Farage and the meetings of others with Barnier (eg John Mills) revealed that EU officials have no intention of mutually beneficial arrangement. In fact what all those people said was that the EU was prepared to damage member states to protect the EU project. Therefore, it was better to prepare for no deal.

Please tell the truth. Thanks.

Her point about Farage calling for a second referendum (or not) is an interesting one, as although the common narrative now is to state that Farage was literally banging his fists against the table live on Channel 5 and demanding another vote without delay, the fact is that he merely floated the idea.

However, as we all know by now in the world of the Remainer, every possible stick with which one can beat Nigel must be grabbed!

How will we ever be able to get the best possible deal for both sides (or indeed any deal at all) with such negative sentiments coming from the other side?

Creator of Lee Rigby memorial vows to ‘PUT IT ALL BACK AGAIN’ after council takes it down

0

The man who was responsible for a number of items at an unofficial memorial to the murdered fusilier Lee Rigby in Greenwich, London has vowed to ‘put all of the items back again’ after Greenwich council removed the existing installation of flags and flowers because they were ‘unsightly.’

According to reports, Danny Taylor worked to keep the memorial updated, and he told News Shopper that he is already raising money to get on with the job.

Danny Taylor is one of the people who kept the memorial updated and had started a fundraiser to try pay for its upkeep. He said: “Don’t care what they are saying they will be replaced anyway.

“I was in the process of getting all new flags and banners to be put up this week or next anyway and it would have been kept looking nice.”

Phil Holmes is another person who helped keep the memorial updated and wrote on Facebook: “We have put flags up every year since Lee died so why we gonna stop now.”

As we have said previously, the needs of local people need to be balanced with the wishes of those who want to pay their respects to Rigby, and although there are two official memorials to both Rigby and other fallen soldiers in the area it doesn’t seem like there is an awful lot of compromise going on here.

More information about the fundraiser can be found here.

Sadiq Khan SAVAGED by UKIP London assembly member for wading in on Trump and Brexit

David Kurten grilled Sadiq Khan over his comments on Donald Trump while London knife crime soars.

UKIP London assembly member, David Kurten, said: “Some people have concerns that your comments could be detrimental to the future relationship this country and the United States.

“As the Major of London, your responsibility is to look after the transport network and to look after police and crime and make sure we have lower crime in this city.

“Do you think your comments will be detrimental to the future relationship between us and the United States?

“You did mention you do love America and Americans. Do you realise that 60million American people voted for President Trump?

“Your comments are alienating perhaps half of the American people.”

Mr Khan: “I won’t apologise for calling out a President who retweets what the leaders of Britain First are doing thereby amplifying racist tweets and a racist organisation.”

Naturally, the Mayor has completely ignored the point that David was making.

Mr Khan needs to focus on Londons issues, that is what he was elected to do and he is not welcome to speak for everyone in Britain.

He does not represent me!

A Londoner speaks out. ‘Sadiq Khan is NOT MY MAYOR’

Over the last week, we have witnessed one of the most shameless pieces of political opportunism in living memory with the President of the United States of America Donald Trump cancelling his planned visit to the United Kingdom, and then the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan strutting around like the whole thing was his own personal achievement.

How many times do we have to make the same point? Donald Trump, no matter what you may think about him, is a democratically elected leader of the most powerful nation on the planet.

Therefore, it is simply disgraceful for any prominent politician of another democratic nation to speak out against an official visit.

More to the point with Khan, he too is only in his own high-profile political role because he was democratically elected, but we are all forced to listen to his constant anti-Trump and anti-Brexit ramblings in the mainstream media because Khan is ‘on the acceptable side of the political spectrum.’

One of the most popular buzz-phrases among left-wing American liberals is ‘Not My President’ (it has a lot more emphasis when you say it in the voice of a two-year-old child), so I am going to go out on a limb here and say that when it comes to Sadiq Khan, he is ‘Not My Mayor.’

Naturally I can only say this as I am fortunate enough to live in London, but other people of the United Kingdom who feel the same way will have to make do with simply stating that he does not speak for the nation.

What’s that saying about fiddling while Rome burns?

For all of the doom mongering about Brexit and Trump, it has to be remembered that Sadiq Khan’s London has become one of the least desirable places in the United Kingdom under his leadership.

Perhaps there is a better word to sum it up. Oh yes, how about ‘Shithole?’

Khan’s London is seeing its violent crime rate shooting through the roof, with knife-related offences and acid attacks becoming so commonplace that people now rarely bat an eyelid when the reports appear in the news.

Dare I also mention the terror-related incidents that achieved London an even higher level of infamy in 2017?

Are Londoners angry about a lack of leadership from Khan over this issue? Of course not! They are too busy applauding him for taking a stand against Donald Trump’s visit – an issue that will be ‘yesterday’s chip paper’ before we know it.

The after-effects of London’s crime epidemic will run far deeper than the euphoria over supposedly helping to persuade The Donald to stay away.

For someone who has been such a vocal opponent of Brexit and also a supporter of the concept of London somehow remaining in the European Union, it is somewhat comforting and ironic to see that those in power within the London Borough of Havering have expressed a desire to actually ‘break away’ from Khan’s London.

It may sound like a crazy idea, but it is no crazier than London becoming some sort of post-Brexit ‘special case’ in the eyes of Brussels.

My message for my fellow Londoners is a simple one here. Praise Khan for helping to keep Trump away if you want, but for heaven’s sake please do not let it cloud your judgement of his overall track record as Mayor of London.

If this episode goes on to become his crowning achievement in the role on behalf of those who he represents, it will be nothing short of a disgrace.

ANGER after Lee Rigby memorial is removed from London as it looks ‘unsightly’

0

A spokesperson for Greenwich Council has confirmed that an unofficial memorial to the murdered fusilier Lee Rigby has been removed after locals commented that it was ‘unsightly.’

Although other memorials are currently in place in the area as a tribute to both Rigby and other fallen soldiers, the collection of flags and other items have now been taken down.

According to a report in News Shopper:

The council said it was also removed in part because of the number of children who walk past it on the way to the nearby school.

A spokesperson from Greenwich Council said: “We are acting now because the number of items has expanded significantly in recent months and many have been weathered, worn and look unsightly.

“Residents of Elliston House were invited to share their views and we believe that the residents should not have to live under such conditions going forward.

“The Council has spoken with Lee’s widow and mother ahead of the removal to make them aware, and they are sympathetic. We have also consulted with the Army and Police.

“We understand that people want to pay their respects and so Royal Greenwich created two official memorials to honour not only Lee, but all of those who served or lived in the Royal Borough and sacrificed their lives for our country since 1945.

“There is a memorial plaque in nearby St George’s Chapel and a book of remembrance at Woolwich Town Hall.”

The part about children walking past the collection of flags and flowers seems to have added to the already sensitive situation, as supporters of the impromptu memorial have said that children shouldn’t be ‘protected’ from significant historical events such as this.

It is up to parents to explain what happened (or choose not to) in any way that they see fit, but taking everything away doesn’t really seem like a ‘compromise’ in our eyes.

Gina Miller angers millions of Brexiteers once again with her latest TV appearance

Gina Miller has labelled the government’s currents Brexit deal as ‘just a fantasy.’

Speaking to Bloomberg, the businesswoman said: “I’m feeling puzzled because I thought reality would start dawning with our negotiation team and they just seem to misinterpret.

“It’s almost lost in translation what the EU’s saying because they are sticking to a straight bat, if you like and saying – if you want access to our markets, to the single market, which is Norway and if you don’t then it’s Canada because there isn’t any time left.”

She said: “I absolutely agree that we shouldn’t be going on yesterday’s arguments, it’s not about Leave or Remain

“But we have to negotiate and ask for something.

“I actually think as the sixth largest economy we should be bold and ask for things, asking for reforms, we should be asking for the best deal we can get.

“That’s what’s so puzzling to me, we don’t seem to be going with any real meaty suggestions of what it is we want, we go with building bridges and just fantasy.”

“It’s us to go and say this is the deal we want, we don’t want Canada, we don’t want Norway, you rely on our financial services, you rely on us in these areas.

“So be bold. That’s what I think the government have failed to do, they have failed to be bold.

“It’s not about Remain or Leave anymore but it’s the incompetence with which this is being dealt with that’s so worrying and the fact that we really don’t have much time. We’ve got to be realistic about the timelines.

“This is the governments imposed red lines, so what they have to do is go and negotiate rather than saying we’re not going to negotiate.

“They’ve put dates in the sand, they’ve put red lines that are imposed by them and they’re the ones that are being inflexible.”

French Fishermen complain that ‘life will be hard’ as Britain to FINALLY get its waters BACK

0

‘Life will be hard’ when the UK takes back control of its waters claims French fishermen.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, Florent Lommel, a Boulogne fisherman said: “We mainly fish in English waters at this time of year.

“If that’s taken away from us, life will be very hard.”

What does he mean taken away from ‘us’?

It was never yours in the first place!

French fishermen destroyed the UK fishing industry! These are our waters and our fish.

The French are more than welcome to fish in their own waters.

Cry me a river…

SFF chief executive Bertie Armstrong said: “It is clear that there is overwhelming public support for the UK to regain control of what is after all part of its natural capital – the fish stocks around our shores.

“It is pleasing that voters have also been persuaded that it makes sense for us to leave the [EU’s] Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) within the early stages of the transition period.”

This is what Nigel Farage had to say about Government Post-Brexit fishing backslide

Nigel Farage is known to many as being the man behind Brexit, however, he has some stern words for the latest government back slide.

Michael Gove today announced that EU fishing vessels will be allowed into UK waters post-Brexit.

Former UKIP chief Mr Farage tweeted: “These comments by Michael Gove are appalling. 2 weeks ago he was strong on fishing.”

Gove said: “The British do not have the capacity to catch and process all the fish in British waters. Therefore, fishermen from Denmark and other EU countries will continue to have access to British waters after Brexit.

Tom Brake, the Liberal Democrat spokesman on Brexit, claimed the comments showed a “lie” by the Brexit campaign.

He said: “Michael Gove chose to put stopping EU fishing in British waters front and centre of his campaign to leave the EU, yet is now telling Danish fishermen the opposite.”

Fishermen up and down the country campaigned and voted for the UK to leave the European Union last June. What we are seeing now is the ultimate stab in the back.

Michael Portillo LASHES Osborne for OUTRAGEOUS ‘fake news’ Remainer claims

0

Mr Portfillo nominated Goerge Osborne for the fake news awarding due to his ‘outrageous’ claims before Brexit.

Speaking on BBC’s This Week, Mr Portillo said: “I would like to nominate George Osborne who made similarly outrageous claims before Brexit and has now gone on to the editor of The Spectator.”

Andrew Neil correct Mr Portillo: “No, not The Spectator.”

“I’m so sorry, forgive me.” he replied.

Mr Neil jokingly said: “I can assure you he is not the editor of the Spectator. That’s a bit of fake news, wasn’t it?”

Mr Portillo said: “That’s rather ruined my point, hasn’t it? But I think he absolutely deserves to be called out for fake news.”

It’s clear that George Osborne’s claims about Brexit were incorrect and if anything he should apologise for attempting to scare the British people into voting remain.

I’m proud that us Brits saw through his lies and voted to leave the European Union.

WATCH: Michael Portillo BLASTS European Union for not respecting Britons’ Brexit vote

Former Conservative MP and cabinet minister blasted Brussels for not respecting the Brexit vote

Mr Portillo said: “It’s interesting to me, the liberal establishment in the rest of the European Union, which is so used to getting its way that whenever things went against it – and a lot of referendums in different countries did go against the establishment – the people were simply asked to vote again until they got it ‘right’ from the point of view of the liberal establishment.

“It shows that Britain is different from the rest of the European Union. When we had a referendum it was taken seriously by the political class.”

He noted even the Labour Party had to accept the vote, adding: “Article 50 went through with a huge majority, it was in Labour’s manifesto as well as our manifesto that this was going to be a Brexit that included leaving the single market and customs union.

“We did take it seriously, and there is a marked difference between how the liberal establishment reacts to the people in Britain and elsewhere in Europe.”

BBC host, Andrew Neil responded: “The liberal establishment for most of the post-war period was used to getting its way – a mixed economy, consensus on Nato, the special relationship with America, Britain’s membership of the European Union.

“And now suddenly with Brexit in Britain and Donald Trump in America, it’s not getting its way anymore.

“If you’re always used to getting your way it’s quite difficult when you don’t get your way.”

In true Brussels fashion, they would love it if we had a second EU referendum vote, especially one on the deal. It’s a habit of theirs to get countries to have another vote if it did not go the way it wanted to.

How very democratic of them.

Andy Burnham calls for Nigel Farage to be ‘sent back’ to Europe after Brexit

0

Appearing on Question Time, Andy Burnham, attacked Nigel Farage and called him to be sent back to Europe after Brexit.

Mr Burnham said: “One thing that worried me was the hear the French Finance Minister on the radio this morning saying he was not going to be as predatory for the city of London.

“What worries me about that is the whole thing is going become about the city of London if we’re not careful.

“We live in a London-centric country and my great worry, as Mayor of Manchester, that we are going to end up with a London-centric Brexit where it’s all about protecting the city of London at the expense of other industries around the regions pay the price.

“I’m telling you now, that is not acceptable to me and many other people in the north of England. We need to see a fair deal for all our industries, all over the country.”

“As to what we send back to France in return, I was thinking of something that will fit in there.

“Someone who likes a drink, his own voice and someone’s name who suggests French ancestry – let’s send Nigel Farage back!’

This man should be a comedian, I’m telling you! (Can you sense my sarcasm?)

Anger as Mayor Andy Burnham condemns protest AGAINST Islamist terrorism

Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham criticised the protesters who were against the recent terror attacks in the city

Ex-English Defence League founder, Tommy Robinson, who currently works for Rebel Media helped organise the ‘UK against Hate’ protest in which 5,000 people attended.

The media has tried to paint this event out to be an extreme far-right EDL protest, but this isn’t the case.

Thousands gathered in the city almost three weeks since suicide bomber Salman Abedi killed 22 people and injured more than 200 at an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena.

The event was met with counter-protesters from the violent Anti-Fascist group known as ANTIFA. Manchester police wore riot gear as things got violent when the two groups clashed.

In a series of Tweets, Ander Burnham condemned the protesters saying:

“To those saying they weren’t EDL – I honestly don’t care. They still need to take a long, hard look at themselves. @gmpolice deserve better.”

And

“.@gmpolice are stretched to limit & in middle of on-going investigation. These EDL-types who came today need to have a look at themselves.”

GMP Chief Superintendent John O’Hare said many officers who had already worked long hours had to operate in “extremely challenging circumstances”.

“This has been an incredibly challenging day with thousands of people attending Manchester City Centre for the protest,” he said.

“I understand that these events are very emotive and that tensions run high when there are polarised views and counter-protests.

“Our city has been through a lot over the last few weeks and I know there were people opposed to the event taking place.

“There have been eight arrests for public order offences, which is not uncommon for a demonstration of this size.

“It was pleasing to see that this protest did not stop the people of Manchester from going about their normal Sunday activities.”

Tommy Robinson thanked all those who attended on Twitter saying: “What an unbelievable turn out today – there must have been over 5,000 patriots who had decided enough was enough…. ”

British MEP SLAMS France for ‘sabotaging’ Brexit ‘We’re not having this!’

0

MEP, Steven Woolfe,  warned that Macron’s demands to the UK are part of a plan to sabotage a Brexit trade deal.

In an interview with RT News, Mr Woolfe said: “There is a negotiation on Brexit, one of the key parts of Brexit for us is the services financial trade agreement including that of financial services.

“Macron has been incredibly stubborn in trying to prevent that agreement including financial services.

“I believe that this play for Britain to pay for more immigration costs and for us to accept more in fisheries and for the UK to be included in the European army is all part of a policy to extract more from that negotiation that satisfies France.

“I believe that Britain should stand firm here and say ‘We’re not having this at all, Mr Macron’.”

It certainly looks like the government will now give into ALL EU demands, while at the same time try and make this to be a victory.

It’s not going to end well.

I can’t see why the government is willing to pay up to £40 billion to get us out of the European Union when we have no legal obligation to pay this money.

WATCH: British MEP lays down the law on Brexit in EPIC Brussels slap down

A verbal grilling of this magnitude should be illegal. Steven Woolfe did not hold back when addressing Juncker and the EU.

Mr Woolfe said: “Abraham Lincoln once famously said ‘You can fool some of the people all of the time. You can fool all of the people some of the time. But you can never fool all of the people all of the time.’ Well, the British people are no longer fooled that the EU wants to negotiate a fair Brexit agreement or even negotiate at all.

“From Verhofstadt to Juncker, to Barnier and to Tusk, the message is clear: the EU will delay, damage and deny Brexit.

“When President Tusk says the UK can’t have its cake and eat it, what he actually means is the EU wants its cake, our cake, the morning croissant, afternoon tea and finishing it with taking a pound of Britain’s economic flesh washed down with a glass of subsidised EU Chianti.”

Well said!

The “no progress” motion passed by 557 votes to 92, with 29 MEPs abstaining from the vote.
